Cemetery tour

This walk links five precisely mapped stops from the main entrance through the historic ensemble and a war memorial to the urn hall by the pond. It is an orientation aid, not a signposted or measured route.

The five stops

1. Main entrance on Baldurstrasse

The main entrance provides access to the historic buildings and is close to the underground, buses and taxi rank. It is a useful point to fix for the return journey.

2. Funeral hall

The round domed building forms part of Hans Grässel’s cemetery ensemble completed in 1902. Bell tower, arcades, terraces and forum create the architectural centre.

3. Neuhausen fire brigade war memorial

The mapped memorial commemorates members of the Neuhausen volunteer fire brigade. It is distinct from the Bavarian Police memorial shown farther north on the official plan.

4. Urn hall by the pond

The urn hall designed by Eugen Jacoby was built in 1962 in the Am Teich area. Its steep roof contrasts with the historic main ensemble.

5. Tor am Teich

The sequence ends at this southern exit. A bus stop and time-limited parking area are mapped nearby.

Further places on the official plan

The stone circle, police memorial and memorial for children and foetuses are shown in the PDF. They are not included in the interactive five-stop sequence because sufficiently precise open coordinates are unavailable. Independently of the walk, the cemetery map shows two georeferenced mosaic structures in Mosaikgärten.
